Who can sign up for hosting?
You can order hosting packages and services, if you currently reside in Canada and have a Canadian postal address, telephone number, and a credit card.
Who can have a domain/website and what are the benefits?
Anyone can have their own space on the Internet. Webs Canada offers a wide range of packages for both business and personal websites. Whether your want to sell your products online, promote your charity, or just post some photos for your friends, a website is your way to communicate with the world.
I am a complete beginner. Is it difficult to build a website?
While providing many services for the high-level professional user, many of our products and packages are designed for use by people with no computer experience. We have HTML and Wordpress templates that make the job much easier. Our support staff is available by phone or e-mail to help you with any issues you may have in creating your website (paid customers only). We can also provide design services when needed.
How long does it take to register a domain name?
Domain registrations generally take at least 24 hours. However, this may be longer due to occasional technical difficulties or errors with your registration. The domain name will take approximately 48 hours to become fully visible to all computers on the Internet. This is the time needed by the DNS (Domain Name Server) to send out the new location of your site.
Can a domain be ordered without any webspace?
Yes! You can order domains and webspace independent of each other.
Can I get email with my package?
E-mail is included with all our hosting packages. Each account is POP3/IMAP compatible and offers the all-in-one convenience of WebMail, plus Spam Guard, Virus Guard, and 1 GB of storage space.
